You may think that people love cars simply because, ”It all seems just like religion and professional sports: a huge con based on a pointless loyalty. You can’t tell me that there are more than a couple of sound designs that are simple and would last for ages and that all the variety and complexity are totally unnecessary.”
But mind you, there are a lot of Bentley cars for sale that are lush and elongated in times of era.
Bentley Motors Limited is a British manufacturer of automobiles founded on 18 January 1919 by Walter Owen Bentley (known as W.O. Bentley or just “W.O.”). Bentley had been previously known for his range of rotary aero-engines in World War I, the most famous being the Bentley BR1 as used in later versions of the Sop with Camel. Since 1998, the company has been owned by the Volkswagen Group of Germany. The original model was the 3-litre, but as customers put heavier bodies on the chassis, a larger 4½-litre model followed. Perhaps the most iconic model of the period is the 4½-litre “Blower Bentley,” with its distinctive supercharger projecting forward from the bottom of the grille. Uncharacteristically fragile for a Bentley, it was not the racing workhorse the 6½-litre was. It became famous in popular media as the vehicle of James Bond in the original novels, but not in film; John Steed, in the television series The Avengers, drove a Bentley. The current Bentley models are the following:
2009 Bentley Arnage for after 10 years, Bentley’s flagship Arnage is in its final year. For the first half of 2009, the Arnage comes in traditional trim levels of base R, extended-length RL and sporty T. Then, in the middle of 2009, just one trim level will be offered: the Arnage Final Series. The Arnage Final Series combines the performance of last year’s Arnage T with the luxury and refinement of the Arnage R. 2010 Bentley Azure cost about $363,000, The Azure is a huge soft-top convertible that seats four. Until recently, the Azure had no true competitors. It now competes with the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. Another is the 2010 Bentley Brooklands that prices about $340,990, The Brooklands is Bentley’s flagship coupe. As the most expensive Bentley, the Brooklands receives more prestige, technology and power. The twin-turbo V-8 makes a thunderous 530 horsepower.
The 2010 Bentley Continental Flying Spur, about $177,600 – $202,500. It is inspired by the company’s Continental Flying Spur of 1957; the modern sedan is called a “grand tourer born of a coupe.” It has essentially everything offered in the Continental GT coupe, including a 552-horsepower, twin-turbocharged W-12, along with enhanced luxury and space. Like the Continental GT coupe, the Continental Flying Spur has all-wheel drive. Bentley claims acceleration from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. A 2010Bentley Continental GT that cost about $182,800 – $207,700, The Bentley Continental GT is a full-size, four-seat coupe. The coupe also comes in a high-performance model called the Continental GT Speed, which cranks out a blistering 600 horsepower. In the $200,000 exotic-car range, Bentley’s coupes represent a more civilized — if not quite as sporty — alternative to cars from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin. Another is the 2010 Bentley Continental GTC that can be purchased about $201,500 – $231,400; Bentley’s Continental GTC is the convertible version of the automaker’s Continental GT coupe. Powered by the same W-12 engine as the GT, the 2+2 GTC features a power fabric roof that can lower in 25 seconds, plus a glass rear window. A performance model, called GTC Speed, debuted in 2009. Competitors include the Aston Martin DB9 convertible and Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
