It’s a guy thing. Right since birth, boys grow a “car fetish.” Through maturity, young men carry on preoccupying about vehicles. They cannot bring to an end chatting concerning the features, forms, trimmings, and safety devices. Soon the four-wheel machine becomes an obsession. And a Bentley convertible for sale is on top of their list. With that, here’s a short reference of the top convertible models of the same name with a brief discussion on their specs.
The 2009 Bentley Azure remains primarily unchanged for the new model year, having just been introduced last year. However, Bentley has announced a ‘T’ version of the luxurious convertible. The T models in the Bentley family are always geared toward high performance, and this Azure T is no exception. Under its long hood is a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 engine that produces 500 horsepower and an impressive 738 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough power to move this 5,699 pound vehicle to 60 mph in a mere 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 179 mph. The Azure T should be available later in the model year.
The all-new Bentley Azure returned to the lineup for 2007 and for 2008 optional updates include 20-inch 16-spoke polished or painted aluminum alloy wheels, carbon/silicon carbide brakes, new Titan Grey or Venusian Grey exterior colors, new Dark Stained Vavona veneer, and three new hide colors, Newmarket Tan, Cashew and Anthracite.
The 2007 Bentley Azure is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 engine that produces 450 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. The handcrafted interior features the highest level of leather and wood trim, individually tailored to the taste of each owner. The complex folding roof on the convertible is operated hydraulically at the touch of a switch and the three-layer fabric assembly stows beneath the leather-trimmed tonneau cover in less than 30 seconds.
The boys’ top pick is usually a Bentley Continental GT Convertible. The petrol-driven Bentley Continental GTC is powered by 6L, W12, DOHC engine, which pumps out a maximum power of 552 hp at 6100 rpm and a peak torque of 650 Nm at 1600 rpm. The sedan accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 5.1 seconds and delivers a top speed of 312 km/h. It is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission that ensures seamless gearshifts and sends power to all the four wheels effectively.
Bentley Continental GTC comes with a price tag of Rs 2.10 Crore (approx). The color options available for this car are Umbrian, Dark Sapphire, Diamond Black, Glacier White, Granite, Midnight Emerald, Moonbeam Neptune, Sandstone, Silver Lake, Silver Tempest, Umbrian and St. James Red.
Other than the electro-hydraulically operated soft-top roof, Bentley Continental GTC closely resembles the Continental GT coupe in terms of its external appearance. The frontage of the car is characterized by a short hood and a blunt nose. The twin bi-Xenon headlamps and rear LED tail lights accentuate the muscular look of its exteriors. The heated front seats come with an optional lumbar support. The center arm rest and headrest ensure comfort for the rear seat passengers. Four people can comfortably fit into this two-door convertible.
The sporty exteriors of Bentley Continental GTC are well complemented by plush interiors. Natural wood veneers and hand-crafted leather upholstery beautify the interiors of the convertible. The cabin gets polished and satin metal accents. Automatic Climate Control, Cruise Control and Air Quality Control are among the standard features of the car. The multi-function steering wheel is leather wrapped, while the central console and dash get sleek wooden finish.
Secured with Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Force Distibution (EBD), Bentley Continental GTC ensures maximum safety to its occupants. Apart from this, the car features side guard door beams, front and rear 3-point seat belts, front and rear seatbelt pre-tensioner. It is also equipped with airbags for all its occupants.
